The Autumn School on Climate and Sustainable Finance, part of the BESIDE Project Training Programme, will take place at the University of Aveiro in October 2025, with sessions scheduled for 2 October from 9h00 to 13h00 and 22 October from 9h00 to 17h00, in Rooms 1.02 and 1.04 of the IEETA/DETI building.

On 2 October, Antonio Baldaque will chair the session on Climate and Sustainable Finance Principles and the ESG Framework, providing participants with an introduction to the foundations of sustainable investment and the role of the ESG framework in guiding responsible decision-making. Later in the month, on 22 October, Dennis Fritsch and Samia Baadj will lead a full-day programme on Green and Blue Finance: Sustainable Instruments and Carbon Bonds, exploring the potential of innovative financial mechanisms to support climate action, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable ocean governance.

The Autumn School will provide an opportunity to engage with crucial topics such as sustainable finance, the ESG framework, green and blue financial instruments, and carbon bonds, all of which are shaping the future of finance and sustainability. These themes are essential for researchers, professionals, and all those working with natural resources and environmental strategies, offering both theoretical foundations and practical perspectives.

This programme is free of charge for members of the University of Aveiro, but registration is mandatory.
