The A-AAGORA project will be present at EurOCEAN 2023, taking place in Vigo from October 10 to 11, 2023, at the Mar de Vigo Auditorium and Conference Center. The coordinator of A-AAGORA, Ana Lillebø (CESAM/DBIO), will represent the project on October 10, between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM, participating in the panel discussion on coastal resilience building.

The objective of the EurOCEAN 2023 conference is to highlight the synergies between the EU mission of restoring our oceans and waters by 2030, other EU research, innovation, and management initiatives, and the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. The conference’s motto “One Ocean, One Voice” underscores the consensus of the international scientific community on the need to restore and safeguard the health of the oceans and the sustainability of ecosystem services for future generations, promoting relevant scientific research and knowledge.

EurOCEAN conferences are politically and scientifically significant European events, organized every 4-5 years. They provide a unique opportunity for the marine research community and all stakeholders to interact with European policymakers to discuss and respond to new developments, challenges, and opportunities in marine science and technology.
