
The Alternet Summer School 2026 will take place from 19 to 29 August 2026, focusing on the relationship between biodiversity and society, with an emphasis on transforming science and policy.
The programme addresses the global challenges of biodiversity loss, exploring its main drivers and the contribution of ecological and social science approaches to its management and conservation. It will cover socio-ecological systems, multifunctional landscapes, and the importance of inclusive approaches that integrate different stakeholders and values, from research, practice, and policy perspectives. Activities include lectures, group work, discussions, and field trips, also incorporating participants’ research topics.
