As part of the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, the University of Aveiro, through the Department of Environment and Planning (DAO) and CESAM, is organising the roundtable “Clean Air and Blue Skies: From Challenges to Action for Better Air Quality”, to be held on 7 September 2026, at 2:30 p.m., at Fábrica Centro Ciência Viva, Aveiro.
The entry into force of the new European Air Quality Directive brings new challenges for science, public administration and the business sector. How can compliance with the new targets be ensured? What scientific knowledge is still missing? What solutions already exist, and what responses need to be developed collaboratively?
The event will bring together researchers, representatives from public authorities and companies to discuss the key challenges that will shape the future of air quality in Portugal, fostering dialogue between science, public policy and society.
Because improving air quality requires knowledge, collaboration and action.
Free admission.
