It aims to support master’s and PhD students, as well as early-career researchers, in understanding the challenges of academic publishing, identifying journal selection criteria, and exploring useful tools such as the Journal Citation Reports.

Objectives / Content
The training aims to help participants better understand the scientific publishing landscape and how to select appropriate journals for article submission. The session is divided into two parts:

• Session 1: Evolution and challenges of scientific publishing; importance of impact factor journals; personal and institutional criteria and associated limitations.
• Session 2: Use of Journal Citation Reports; quartile rankings; alternative metrics; practical examples of journal selection.
