The MICROBIOTEC’25 congress will take place from 4–6 December 2025 at the University of the Azores, Ponta Delgada campus, on the island of São Miguel, Azores.

MICROBIOTEC is the leading national congress in the fields of Microbiology and Biotechnology, bringing together researchers, students, and professionals from the sector. This event serves as a dynamic platform for scientific exchange, showcasing the work of national research groups and strongly encouraging the participation of early-career researchers and postgraduate students.

The programme includes plenary lectures, invited talks, oral and poster presentations, covering nine thematic areas, including Health Microbiology, Environmental Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, and Science & Society.
