On May 21–22, 2026, APOCEAN will host another edition of the Oceanography Meeting in Sesimbra (SANA Sesimbra Hotel), one of the most relevant national scientific events in this field.

The meeting will bring together researchers, technicians, and students from across the country, with around 80 participants expected. This event provides an important platform for sharing and discussing marine research, aligned with the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030).

CESAM is associated with the organization of this meeting through the participation of its researchers Ana Picado and Américo Ribeiro, who are members of the organizing committee of the Oceanography Meeting 2026.
