The photography exhibition “From water (to land) to air – What biodiversity?” will be on display at the João Grave Municipal Library in Vagos from May 5 to June 30, 2026. Promoted by the Department of Biology of the University of Aveiro, the exhibition features 52 photographs portraying different groups of organisms, including birds, amphibians, insects, mammals, reptiles, and plants, highlighting species diversity across distinct environments.
Curated by Aldiro Pereira, the exhibition results from a partnership with the association Charcos & Companhia, bringing together works from several contributors and reflecting their efforts in valuing natural heritage. The initiative is part of a broader environmental awareness strategy, aiming to bring the community closer to biodiversity and promote greater awareness of its conservation.
The exhibition is supported by the Municipality of Vagos, particularly through the João Grave Municipal Library as a space for cultural and scientific promotion. CESAM is associated with this initiative within the scope of its research areas in biodiversity and ecosystems, contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge and strengthening the connection between science and society.
