The SMARTDEC Transnational Workshop will take place on 25 November 2025 at the Leixões Cruise Terminal in Porto. As part of the SMARTDEC project, and in their role as national coordinators, the University of Aveiro (UA) and CESAM are co-organising this event together with Forum Oceano during the Business2Sea 2025 event in Porto.

This workshop will serve as an impactful innovation matchmaking session focused on maritime decarbonisation. The event will gather technology developers, awarded through the SMARTDEC Call for Innovations, and key maritime stakeholders who are shaping the future of the green transition in the maritime sector.

Participants from Portugal, Spain, France, and Ireland will present their innovative solutions to potential end-users. The session will be followed by interactive discussions, providing a platform for stakeholders to share their perspectives, identify challenges, and explore new avenues for collaboration toward a sustainable and low-carbon maritime industry.

By co-organising this event, UA and CESAM reinforce their active contribution to promoting innovation and international cooperation in the field of marine sustainability and decarbonisation technologies.
