On June 30, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:15 PM, at AIDA CCI (Aveiro Chamber of Commerce and Industry), the first “Fábrica de IA BSC” workshop in Aveiro will take place, themed “AI Applications in Agriculture: Innovation and Digitalization”. This initiative is of particular relevance to the regional ecosystem, aiming to bring together researchers, producers, and professionals who are driving the digital transformation in the agricultural sector.

The workshop focuses on the practical training of participants in the use of Artificial Intelligence, allowing direct contact with real-world application cases, as well as the discovery of opportunities to access advanced computational resources and technical support. The program also includes an interactive demonstration on the Deucalion supercomputer and a hands-on session where participants, equipped with their laptops, will be able to train AI models for identifying agricultural crops using satellite imagery.
