On March 22, 2024, the Workshop: Landscape Resilience in Global Change Scenarios will be held at Brigantia Ecopark, in Bragança, organized by CoLAB ForestWISE®, CESAM-University of Aveiro and APATA. This event is part of the FoRES project – Development of Forest RESilience to fire in a climate change scenario, financed by the EEA Grants program (PT-ENVIRONMENT-0057).
The project, which ends in April 2024, is coordinated by CESAM and has the participation of CoLAB ForestWISE® and NIBIO (Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research), and APATA – Association of Traditional and Environmental Agricultural Producers as a local partner in this project.
The FoRES project is aligned with the objectives of the EEA Grants and the Environment Program and aims to propose nature-based forest management strategies that reduce the spread of rural fires and increase carbon dioxide sequestration and soil moisture retention.
