The European project AgroServ is funding access to its 143 services across Europe, open to researchers (including PhD students) and all practitioners from academia and the industry working in agroecology. The call focus on research in sustainable and resilient agriculture, emphasizing the ‘one health’ approach.

Services

AgroServ offers a Catalogue of services provided by 11 Research Infrastructures.

The transnational access can include different modalities and can be mixed within one project:

• Physical access: access in person, with scientists (users) physically visiting the facility;
• Remote access: services offered without the scientists physically visiting the facility (e.g., access to samples);
• Virtual access: access to data or models, including the organisation’s cloud, data centres, etc.

Eligibility

• Applications may be individual or as a research group;
• Projects must integrate services from at least two different Research Infrastructures;
• Applications should use facilities in countries different from the home institute, unless requesting access to an ERIC installation (AnaEE-ERIC, EuroBioimaging-ERIC, EMBRC-ERIC, EU-Openscreen-ERIC, LifeWatch-ERIC, MIRRI-ERIC);
• Granted Projects are requested to freely share results, except for Small and Medium Enterprises.

Funding

Access to the AgroServ research services and installations is free of charge for all successful candidates. Scientists are granted logistical, technological and scientific support and the specific training required to complete the approved transnational access projects, including:

1. Free access for eligible groups to research installations;
2. Support for travel and accommodation for a period to be determined with the Access manager at the beginning or at the end of the research;
3. On-site logistic support by the infrastructure staff;
4. Access to the knowledge and the know-how necessary to complete the proposed experimental work.

Duration

The duration of access varies based on the specific service and project requirements. Details can be discussed and agreed upon with the facility/access managers of the services you request.

How to apply

After choosing the services/infrastructures needed, the candidate should get in touch with the manager of the service/infrastructure. Proposals should only be submitted after agreement with facility/access managers, who will verify the feasibility of the projects. Applicants are responsible for developing the research proposal and submitting a feasible proposal that meets AgroServ’s guidelines and requirements.
