Deadline: 15 May 2026

The initiative ClimateLaunchpad has an open call to help you take the first steps to shape your green or sustainable idea into a business, build a plan, craft a compelling pitch, and turn early vision into real-world impact. If you are selected, you will join the world’s largest green business ideas competition and take advantage of many support initiatives during the process. Accepted participants get a 3-day boot camp, mentoring, and the chance to compete in National and Regional finals. Top performers win a trip to the Global Grand Final in Singapore.

How it works

ClimateLaunchpad is built for early-stage climate innovators, especially if you’re at the idea or concept stage.

The free programme guides you step-by-step through the fundamentals of building and testing a climate venture, in a supportive, global community designed for first-time founders:

  • Step 0: Mini-course: After your application, teams are automatically invited first for participation in a CLP Mini-course to help National Leads to make a better selection or to prepare you for the Boot Camp.
  • Step 1: Boot Camp: The top teams chosen by our National Leads (Portugal lead here) take part in the ClimateLaunchpad National programme which kicks off with a multi-day digital Boot Camp. The trainers will teach you all you need to know about jump-starting your business.
  • Step 2: Intensive coaching and National Finals: The Boot Camp is followed by a period of intensive coaching. You’ll perfect your pitch, value proposition and business model. After that, you’re ready to rock your National Final, where you’ll pitch to a National Jury. The winner of each National Final will receive a trip to Vienna, Austria attend the Global Grand Final.
  • Step 3: Regional Finals (online): The top teams of each country go to the Regional Finals where they pitch in front of the region’s best and brightest.
  • Step 4: Global Grand Final in Singapore (physical): The top teams from each region process to the Global Grand Final (Singapore) to pitch it out in front of an expert panel.
