The Albert Einstein World Award of Science is an annual award which seeks to recognise and encourage scientific and technological research and development. It has a particular focus on research which has brought true benefit and wellbeing to humankind. Possible nominees are individuals or institutions in one of the following areas: life sciences, earth science, biology, biochemistry or chemistry, physics, mathematics or astronomy. Nominations may only be proposed through designated authorities, including university leaders.
