This award aims to recognise a student (PhD, MSc, Lic.) who has published, as first author, an article (SCI journal) in the year to which the competition refers, on the theme of conservation and biodiversity of continental aquatic resources (estuaries and rivers). The winner of the competition will receive a cheque for €1,000.

Eligibility

All first authors of scientific articles published (or accepted for publication in the uncorrected proofs version) in international journals indexed in SCI in the year to which the competition refers are eligible to apply for this award, provided that the work was carried out while the candidates were doctoral, master’s or bachelor’s students.

How to apply

Applications may be submitted by supervisors, co-authors of the articles or by the students themselves. Each candidate may only submit one article to the competition.

In addition to a PDF copy of the article submitted to the competition, candidates must attach the completed application form (available here, only in Portuguese) and proof of their student status at the time the published work was produced to the email message.
