The MSCA Doctoral Networks (MSCA-DN) aim to train entrepreneurial, innovative and resilient doctoral candidates, able to face current and future challenges and to convert knowledge and ideas into products and services for economic and social benefit. MSCA-DN allow doctoral programmes to train doctoral candidates in academia and other sectors, including industry and business. A new element in the 2026 call is the introduction of RAISE Doctoral Networks for AI in Science, which provides additional opportunities for projects that integrate artificial intelligence into scientific research. With a total budget of €593 million, the call is expected to fund more than 130 projects across all scientific disciplines and support the training and skills development of around 1,950 doctoral candidates.
