Public consultation on the future of European Partnerships under Horizon Europe 2028-2034

16/10/2026

Deadline: 16 October 2026

The European Commission (EC) has launched a public consultation to gather input on the future of European Partnerships under the next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2028–2034). This is an opportunity for businesses, research centres, universities and public bodies to share their views on how to mobilise investment, strengthen the competitiveness of the European ecosystem and accelerate the time-to-market for innovation. These contributions will be crucial in identifying priorities and defining the thematic areas that will form part of the future portfolio.

European Partnerships are strategic instruments that bring together the EC, Member States, industry, research organisations and other partners to mobilise public and private investment, promote the development of innovative technologies and solutions, and address the European Union’s key challenges.

The consultation will support the European Commission’s impact assessment, which will form the basis for the preparation of the future Single Basic Act for Joint Undertakings, any legislative acts for initiatives under Article 185 of the TFEU, and the definition of the future portfolio of European Partnerships under Horizon Europe 2028–2034.

Responses may be submitted in any of the 24 official languages of the European Union here.
