ENVCARDIO-PT is an exploratory project on the feasibility of studying the Portuguese exposome by investigating the associations between environmental exposures and cardiovascular disease using individual-level health data and environmental exposure data from the European EXPANSE project. As a pioneering effort in Portugal, ENVCARDIO-PT will generate country-specific evidence to inform tailored public health policies. By adopting a transdisciplinary approach, the project lays the groundwork for future environmental epidemiology studies and highlights the importance of data accessibility for public health research.
