The project aims to develop an open source software for identification of equatorial waves in real-time, which are crucial for tropical cyclogenesis and the occurrence of extreme precipitation events. At the end of the project, a seminar is planned to present the results and training the use of the software, where elements of various national meteorological institutes from Portuguese spoken countries will be invited to participate.
