IMPACTO focuses on evaluating methods and techniques aimed at mitigating the negative impacts of wild boar, but also of other big game species such as roe deer and red deer, on agro-silvo-pastoral activities and road safety. IMPACTO will also update knowledge about the wild boar population size to assess whether the strategic lines of action implemented (e.g., Decree-Law 71/2024) suggested by the JAVALI.PT project have been effective or need to be reviewed and adapted to different spatial contexts.
