Victor Bandeira, a member of CESAM at the University of Aveiro, has joined the panel of assessors for the Red List of Threatened Species of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species).
Invited by this prestigious institution, he is part of the international team responsible for assessing the threat status — at the level of the species’ European geographic distribution — of his PhD dissertation’s focal species, the Egyptian mongoose (Herpestes ichneumon).
