Assessing the Influence of Camera Orientation on Ocean Wave Detection in Video-Based Monitoring Systems

Abstract: Weather conditions, sea state, and camera orientation are critical factors in wave detection for image processing. While weather and sea state are beyond our control, camera orientation can be optimized. This presentation will explore how adjusting camera parameters improves the accuracy of wave detection in coastal monitoring.
