The Belmiro de Azevedo Foundation Prize is an initiative resulting from a protocol between the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the Belmiro de Azevedo Foundation (FBA), aiming to promote the implementation of projects with obvious merit and impact at national and international level in the field of conservation, restoration and monitoring of biodiversity in Portugal.

In the 2023 edition, the CESAM project CCforBio- Conservation corridors in woodlands: a win-win for biodiversity, wood production, and carbon sequestration, coordinated by researcher Bruna Oliveira, was honoured with this award (see the news here).
