The Atlantic Iberian Margin Symposium (MIA) is a multidisciplinary scientific meeting between Portugal and Spain, held every three years.

In 2025, the Hydrographic Institute will host the 11th MIA Symposium.

This symposium is an informal and open event that aims to present and discuss the latest methods and scientific results, as well as ongoing activities carried out by researchers and postgraduate students, focusing on the processes and evolution of the Atlantic Iberian Margin. Contributions are organized into thematic areas grouped into scientific sessions.

The 11th Symposium on the Atlantic Iberian Margin will take place on October 29, 30, and 31, 2025, at the Hydrographic Institute.
