As an integral part of the Sustainability Research & Innovation Congress (SRI), to be held in Helsinki, Finland, Alternet will organize a special day, named “Alternet Day,” dedicated to the theme of nature restoration.
Alternet Day is scheduled for June 12 and will feature three distinct sessions:
Session 1 – Science-policy interface supporting nature restoration;
Session 2 – Ecosystem restoration for biodiversity and multiple ecosystem benefits;
Session 3 – Governance of nature restoration.
The SRI Congress has been bringing together global leaders in research, government, and stakeholders since 2021, fostering collaboration among different entities to drive various advancements towards sustainability. As such, the SRI Congress serves as a comprehensive platform to co-create solutions, innovate, and build partnerships to achieve a sustainable transformation.
In this context, Alternet, which connects researchers from 21 European countries and promotes the science-policy interface on biodiversity and ecosystem services, is seeking contributions from its community for the Alternet Day sessions at the SRI Congress 2024, in collaboration with Sustainability Science Days. This can include speakers for traditional lectures, interactive presentations, participatory workshops, among other forms of contribution.
Opportunities to participate as a speaker or propose activities are open until March 1, 2024. Interested parties can fill out the speaker/presentation proposal form or contact directly via secretariat@alterneteurope.eu.
