The final event of the FoRES project – Challenges of Forest Management and Fire Risk will take place on April 30th. The University of Aveiro will host the event organized by CESAM.

FoRES project is coordinated by CESAM and has the participation of CoLAB ForestWISE® and NIBIO (Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research), and APATA – Association of Traditional and Environmental Agricultural Producers.

The FoRES project is aligned with the objectives of the EEA Grants and the Environment Program, and aims to propose nature-based forest management strategies that reduce the spread of rural fires and increase carbon dioxide sequestration and soil moisture retention.
