Information Session on MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2024

20/05/2024
10:00 - 11:00

FCT will hold an information session dedicated to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships competition, which is open until 11th September 2024.

The session will take place exclusively online and will be conducted solely in English (as it is an international funding instrument), on 20th May starting at 10:00 AM, with an expected duration of one hour. Participation requires prior registration.

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships aim to fund a postdoctoral project in any field of knowledge, with the application submitted jointly by the proposing researcher and a hosting institution. To be eligible, researchers must adhere to a mobility rule, meaning they cannot have resided or carried out their main activity in the host country for more than 12 months in the three years prior to the deadline of the competition. Additionally, they cannot have completed their doctorate more than eight years before the competition deadline (there are exceptions for periods not counted towards this eight-year limit, such as maternity and time away from research).

The following topics will be addressed in this information session: Characteristics and types of MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships; Eligibility criteria; Success rate; ERA Fellowships; Proposal structure; Evaluation criteria; and Budget.

FCT is responsible for promoting the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions in Portugal, regularly conducting informational sessions and proposal writing workshops. It is also responsible for representing Portugal on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Program Committee, within the European Union.
