Higher education entities wishing to contribute to the dissemination of technical and scientific knowledge and promote reflection that contributes to improving decision-making processes and the implementation of public policies supported by Portugal 2030 can submit applications to PAT 2030 Notice 10, until December 12.

The Technical Assistance Program 2030 (PAT 2030) supports the preparation of thematic studies for the 2nd Development & Cohesion Report (D&C) through Call PAT2030-2023-1.

The 2nd D&C Report comprises three main areas:

1) National and regional convergence and divergence processes;

2) Positioning Portuguese regions in the dual climate and digital transition;

3) Multilevel governance as a factor in meeting future challenges.

Alongside these three major themes, the issues linked to the demographic challenges facing Portugal are considered across the board.

The thematic studies to be supported should focus on one of the following four themes and one or more of the respective sub-themes:

a) National and regional convergence processes;

b) Climate transition;

c) Digital transition;

d) Multilevel governance as a factor in meeting future challenges.

Studies can present forward-looking approaches to public policy and, where appropriate, ensure international benchmarking and activities should last between 6 and 9 months.
