The ClimateLaunchpad programme is accepting applications for business ideas to combat climate change in different areas including agriculture, air and environment, clean energy, clean industry, energy storage, efficiency, transport and water.

Deadline: 5 May 2024

Eligibility:

– Ideas or startups created less than a year ago;

– Projects that have raised less than 200,000 euros in investment;

– Initiatives that have not sold products, solutions or prototypes under commercial conditions.

The competition has two stages: i) the three best proposals will be selected at national level; ii) these proposals will represent Portugal in the regional final. The winning proposals at the national level will be entitled to four months of free incubation at UPTEC, mentoring, training and other prizes awarded by the programme’s partners to the value of 10,000 euros.

In Portugal, the initiative is organised by the Science and Technology Park of University of Porto (UPTEC), the Ordem dos Engenheiros of Portugal North Region and Forum Oceano / Hub Azul. The Smart Waste Portugal Association and the Portuguese Pact for Plastics are partners of the programme.
