31/07/2024

The SPOT Nordic Association and the FCT have launched the Nordic Grant, which aims to establish and develop research links between universities and research institutes in Portugal and the Nordic countries, namely Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland. Two grants of 6 000 €, each, will be awarded for projects lasting at least 2 months.

Deadline: 31 July 2024

The Nordic grant aims to foster scientific collaboration between Portugal and the Nordic countries by giving researchers the chance to carry out two research visits lasting between 2 and 6 months. Each grant offers financial support of € 6 000, funded by SPOT Nordic and the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).

Eligible candidates must be doctoral students or researchers who have obtained their doctorate within the last five years. In addition, they must be affiliated with a Portuguese higher education institution and preferably be or become a member of SPOT Nordic.

Applicants must submit a detailed research plan, with selection based on scientific merit and potential impact. Projects will be monitored regularly, with progress reports evaluated by SPOT Nordic’s Scientific Council.
