It is open a call for new ideas for Joint Actions (deadline: 1 Feb 2024) as well as a Joint Call on the ecological aspects of deep-sea mining (deadline for pre-proposals: 1 Mar 2024).

The central implementation mechanism ofJPI Oceans is that of Joint Actions. They are formed around topics that fall under JPI Oceans’ thematic scope and contribute to its goals (see more here). As a researcher, you can contribute to these Joint Actions in two ways:

1. By sharing your ideas for new Joint Actions; A call is now opened. More information here.
2. By participating in an already existent Joint Action. A call for the Joint Action on the ecological aspects of deep-sea mining is presently open and although Portugal cannot be funded, it can participate as a collaborator. More information here.
