Two application programmes for projects under MAR2030 will be launched later this year:

Support for the Protection and Restoration of Biodiversity and Marine Ecosystems

– Ensuring the good environmental status of the marine environment accordance with the Marine Strategy Framework Directive;

– Promote the protection, restoration and monitoring of ecosystems with a view to adopting measures for the conservation and sustainable management of marine biodiversity and the maintenance of ecosystem services.

Supporting the transfer of knowledge between scientists and fishermen

– Promote the transfer of knowledge through partnerships between scientists and fishermen, stimulating productive and organisational innovation in companies in the sector, contributing to their greater resilience;

– To deepen scientific knowledge in the field of fisheries and strengthen the involvement of operators in the participatory and responsible management of maritime space.
