Prof. Luis Menezes Pinheiro, from Department of Geosciences and CESAM, was invited by the European Parliament’s Seas, Rivers, Islands and Coastal Areas Intergroup to be a speaker in the conference “International Ocean Governance. An agenda for the future of our oceans”, whichwill take place on 30th January, from 15:00 to 17:00 at the European Parliament.
In the context of the European Commission Communication on International Ocean Governance, the European Parliament’s Seas, Rivers, Islands and Coastal Areas Intergroup has taken the initiative to organize this conference in presence of Commissioner Karmenu Vella.
This seminar will bring together representatives of the maritime communities, the European institutions, to reflect the next steps to develop a strong European position on international ocean governance.
