The Spanish Society of Mineralogy (SEM) and the Spanish Society of Clay (SEA) intend to invite you to their respective scientific meetings that will be held jointly in Seville between January 15th and 18th, 2025. The venue for this meeting will be the Uruguay Pavilion from the University of Seville.

Both societies are in close collaboration with the Universities of Aveiro, Algarve and Lisbon, but have the firm intention of strengthening ties with all Portuguese colleagues interested in studies related to the importance of terrestrial mineralogy, as there is no such society Portuguese mineralogy.

It is, therefore, an opportunity to bring together, in Seville, the joint congress of mineralogy and materials science societies. In addition to thematic sessions that address topics on environmental pollution, geochemistry, mineralogy, materials science, minerals and resources… the congress also includes a seminar on Heritage Characterization.

The main language of the congress is Spanish, but presentations will be made in English.

Societies finance student assistance, so they can encourage their doctoral or master’s students to request financing, since if they are beneficiaries of the aid they are registered as student members of the Spanish Society of Mineralogy for one year.
