The 43th CIESM (The Mediterranean Science Commission) Congress is scheduled for October 14-18, 2024, and it will be held in Palermo, Sicily. This congress will address scientific breakthroughs in Marine Science and will celebrate the bridge between the diverse cultures across the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions.

The CIESM is composed of six scientific committees, in which Luís Pinheiro, researcher at CESAM/DGeo, is the Chair of Committee C1 – Marine Geosciences.
