Alternet will present the Science-Policy Webinar “Restoring our Oceans and Waters in the Atlantic & Arctic Basin”. This webinar is hosted by CESAM on 10 September 2024, between 12h00 and 13h00 (WEST).

The webinar is related with the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”. The Mission supports regional engagement and cooperation through “lighthouses,” with the Atlantic-Arctic basin selected as one of the regions to pilot, demonstrate, and implement Mission activities across EU seas and river basins. In this context, three projects will be highlighted:

• BlueMissionAA: An EU Mission Implementation Coordination and Support Action, establishing a hub to support Mission activities in the Atlantic and Arctic Basin, focused on restoring ocean and water health in these regions.
• CLIMAREST: An innovation action contributing to the development of resilient ecosystems, essential for creating resilient communities.
• A-AAGORA: An innovation action aimed at coastal restoration, emphasizing the integration of nature and people in the restoration process.
