On October 12th, the RTP1 program “Linha da Frente” will reveal the research work carried out by José Alves, the principal investigator at CESAM/DBio of the University of Aveiro, along with his team, dedicated to unraveling the adaptability of migratory wader birds to global changes.

Through a documentary filmed in Iceland, we are invited to discover the fascinating stories of three species studied during the breeding season: the black-tailed godwit, the oystercatcher, and the dunlin. Each of these birds possesses unique characteristics that will allow us to explore a range of intriguing topics, including changes in migratory patterns, shifts in their diet, and phenology.

Don’t miss this captivating narrative about the lives of these birds and their struggle to thrive in a constantly changing world.
