As part of the European REMEDIES project, a call for proposals has been launched, with financial support of up to €100,000, to accelerate the implementation of innovative solutions for collecting plastic waste in the Mediterranean and transforming this waste into added-value products, contributing to a more sustainable and circular economy.The aim of the REMEDIES project centres on attracting public interest in the prevention of plastic in the ocean through citizen science and participatory co-creation processes to build a more plastic-conscious society.The competition is open to local and/or regional authorities (public sector) from associated regions (municipalities, public hospitals, public universities, among others) however, the same organisation can only submit one application.
