Call for EMBO Young Investigators in the field of life sciences

01/04/2024

The EMBO Young Investigator Programme is accepting applications for the support of life scientists who have been group leaders for less than four years in setting up their laboratories. The programme aims to: i) highlight some of the best young group leaders in Europe; ii) create a mutual support network among the next generation of scientific leaders in Europe; and iii) help Young Investigators realise their potential as world-class researchers.

Deadline (pre-application): 01 April 2024

Deadline (full application): July 2024

The programme selects around 20 EMBO Young Investigators annually and provides support and networking opportunities during a critical stage of their career.

Young Investigators receive financial support for networking for four years (financial award of 15 000 € in their second year and may apply for additional small grants of up to 10 000 € per year) and benefit from training opportunities, support for their lab members and mentoring. They become part of an international network of more than 700 current and former EMBO Young Investigators, Installation Grantees and Global Investigators.

Applications to the EMBO Young Investigator Programme are accepted annually in a two-stage process and must be submitted through an online system.
