The Amélia de Mello Foundation, in partnership with BCSD Portugal, will distinguish and provide funding to entrepreneurs with original projects in the fields of sustainability and decarbonisation. The maximum value of the José Manuel de Mello Entrepreneurship grant is 150,000 euros to be spent over 3 years.
Deadline: 30 April 2024
The themes of the research projects may focus on solutions for improving energy efficiency, promoting efficient water and/or soil management, adopting circular economy principles, sustainable consumption and supply optimisation, or other solutions aimed at responding to the energy transition and carbon neutrality.
Researchers who are part of Portuguese institutions or who implement their projects in Portugal are eligible.
Proposals are accepted if they have a clear objective with well-defined results (experimental proof of concept, prototypes to be validated in a laboratory or industrial environment) and if they lead to the development or clarify the viability of new products, processes or services with a well-defined application.
