The French Institute in Portugal launched a call for mobility grants (PhD students and post-doctoral levels) for Portuguese or foreign researchers living in Portugal, working in a Portuguese research institution, to establish new Franco-Portuguese collaborations.

These grants are intended for researchers who want to carry out research activities in a laboratory or research unit in France, for one month, covering the costs of transportation and accommodation. These grants aim to establish or strengthen Franco-Portuguese scientific collaborations.

Deadline: 17 May 2024

All scientific fields are considered, including the humanities and social sciences. Special attention will be given to candidates with projects in the areas of oceanographic sciences, health and math.

Duration of the scholarship:

One month, from 30 June to 20 December 2024.

Scholarship benefits:

Scholarship amount (1 month): 1700 € for PhD students and 2000 € for post-docs;

Plane ticket;

Priority university accommodation;

Medical insurance.

Application Dossier (required documents):

CV (CV_name.pdf): Maximum 2 pages.

Research Project Description (Description_name.pdf): maximum 2 pages detailing the following elements: research project plan, motivation and expectations for the secondment, indicate if the work is based on a previous collaboration between the two institutions, long-term prospects of the research work.

Invitation Letter (Invitation_name.pdf): letter of welcome from the research unit or laboratory in France. Note: the letter must state the exact dates of the stay and the institution’s logo.

Reference Letter (Reference_name.pdf): reference letter from the Portuguese research unit or laboratory.

Latest degree obtained certification.

Portuguese identification or residence document in Portugal.
