Open call for access to EMSO Facilities

29/02/2024

The European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and water column Observatory (EMSO) is offering physical access to their facilities where users’ devices can be installed, including sensors, instruments, systems, and new technologies, and where new procedures/experiments can be tested/take place.

Deadline: 29 February 2024

Seven facilities are available this year, with two located in the Atlantic Ocean and five in the Mediterranean Sea. Starting from this year the applicants can also benefit from the possibility of having physical access and/or support from more than one facility to carry out their testing or projects.

Funding consists in Facility Access Units (days of usage) and economic support for operations, travel, shipping and consumables. This economic support amounts to 100 K€ for all projects in 2024 and will be distributed evenly among six cut-off dates. This 2024 call is expected to fund a minimum of seven projects.
