The Horizon Europe Clean Hydrogen Partnership funds a total of 113.5 M€ for projects to cover R&I activities across the whole hydrogen value chain covering 20 different topics. Additional 60 M€ will be used to support different activities (including topping-up of related call topics and a procurement to set-up and run a ‘Hydrogen Valleys Facility’) for increasing the number of Hydrogen Valleys across Europe.
Deadline: 17 April 2024
A total of 20 topics are part of the call for proposals, including:
– 5 for Renewable Hydrogen Production (25 M€ funding)
– 5 for Hydrogen Storage and Distribution (27 M€ funding)
– 4 for Transport (19 M€ funding)
– 2 for Heat and Power (9 M€ funding)
– 2 topics for Cross-cutting issues (4.5 M€ funding)
– 2 for Hydrogen Valleys (29M€ funding)
The topics are grouped into 11 Research and Innovation Actions (RIA), 8 Innovation Actions (IA), and 1 Coordination and Support Action (CSA). Two of the Innovation Actions, on Hydrogen Valleys, are considered of strategic importance and are selected as flagship projects. Synergies with other European partnerships and programmes as well as with Member States and regional programmes are at the core of a number of topics.
An important novelty in this call is that it will be implemented using lump sum grants.
The Clean Hydrogen Partnership is organising an online info day on 26 January 2024, to present all the call topics and rules for participation, evaluation and submission processes, and other legal and financial aspects including the new lump-sum cost model. Registration is necessary.
