My main focus is how animals respond to changes in the ecosystem after a fire event. I want to understand the following:
- how specific animal groups promote ecosystem recovery and at what rate;
- find potential differences in community composition after fire events that can lead to new communities or habitats;
- the benefits of post-fire mitigation measures in ecosystem recovery.
Other interests are:
- Use audiovisual tools to develop new methodologies for field data collection and science communication.
- Explore the significance of artificial ecosystems in regions experiencing significant human disturbance.
- Develop conservation measures in highly diverse areas and for endangered species affected by climate change and human-induced alterations.
