The final event of the COACH project (“COoperative approACH applied to conservation and management of cockles”) will take place on September 27, 28 and 29. All results generated on the biology, habitat, distribution and fishing of cockles in the Ria de Aveiro will be shared with stakeholders. The support tool for management and conservation actions created by the COACH team (an open access platform available on the Internet) will be officially launched and accompanied by a demonstration of its use. The third day of the event, which coincides with the celebrations of the World Maritime Day, will be dedicated to environmental education in a unique approach of knowledge transfer, in the field, between scientists, fishermen and students.
